We are delighted to bring together four fantastic chefs; Tim Allen, Ruth Hansom, Nigel Haworth and Adam Degg as they prepare a very special four course meal in our honour.

This dinner, hosted by Stephanie Moon of All Things Food, will take place at Harrogate’s five-star award winning Rudding Park, the perfect location to bring together our chefs as they create delicious dishes to support all those within hospitality who are facing crisis.

All guests will be treated to a drinks and canapé reception and four course meal with wine throughout, whilst hearing from each of our chefs.

Chef Biographies.

Tim Allen, sō-lō

Over the course of his career, Tim has become very familiar with Michelin Stars. His most recent, his fourth, was awarded to him only this year, just seventeen months after sō-lō first opened its doors. Sō-lō is Tim’s first solo venture focussing on relaxed dining whilst serving an inspired seasonal menu. He has also been a competitor on the BBC’s Great British Menu.

Adam Degg, FIFTY TWO at Rudding Park

Adam first stepped into a commercial kitchen by chance when, aged 16. From then on, the buzz of the kitchen called. His career started at a hotel in Birmingham, before he moved to London to work at Wild Honey. From there Adam went to Chiltern Firehouse, before moving to the Hand and Flowers (2*), and was part of the team that received The Coach’s Michelin star in Marlow. Adam joined Rudding Park in 2022 as Head Chef at the 3 AA Rosette Horto Restaurant and is now Head Chef and Host at FIFTY TWO, a new immersive dining experience at Rudding Park where the Kitchen Garden takes centre stage.

Ruth Hansom, Hansom Restaurant & Wine Bar

Ruth completed her Royal Academy of Culinary Arts Apprenticeship at the Ritz. Other ventures include Core by Clare Smyth, Pomonas in Notting Hill and Head Chef position at The Princess of Shoreditch. During this time, Ruth began working with Baxter Storey as a Chef Partner and continues to support Baxter Storey events across the country including hosting bi-monthly supper clubs at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.

After a total of 12 years in London, Ruth made the decision to move back to North Yorkshire starting with a six month residency at Swinton Estate. Most recently, Ruth and her husband have launched Hansom Restaurant and Wine Bar, Bedale which opened this year.

Nigel Haworth – The Three Fishes, Mitton

Nigel Haworth was born in Whalley, Lancashire, where his food roots remain to this today. From his initial training in Lancashire, he embarked on a culinary journey covering London, Scotland and Switzerland, before returning home to take over as Head Chef at Northcote Manor in 1984. By 1995, Nigel was celebrating the Egon Ronay Chef of The Year award. Just a year later, he gained his first Michelin star.

For more than three decades, Nigel was the driving culinary force behind Northcote. He (with co-founder Craig Bancroft) transformed it into a place of gastronomic pilgrimage.

Today, Nigel is still writing new chapters in his incredible story, with his pub and restaurant The Three Fishes, where much of the produce used in his dishes have been grown on their one-acre organic, ‘no dig’ kitchen garden.
